Lama di Luna is a farm of about 200 acres to half for grazing and half cultivated with olive trees, cherry trees, almond trees and vineyards all in line with EU regulations on organic farming and certified by ICEA (institution of ethical and environmental certification).
In the middle is the farm with an agricultural part consisting of stables, depots and tool shed and in a private part and agrituristica meant the owner's residence, and 11 accessible rooms, common rooms, restaurant with panoramic veranda and a large swimming pool overlooking an endless view.
Farm of the 18th century inhabited by settlers and Sharecroppers, now restored in three years of painstaking work, with green architecture and feng-shui in full respect of the place and its history, surrounded by 190 acres of natural landscape, olive groves, cherry orchards, almond orchards and vineyards, all grown organically.
The guest rooms, once the homes of settlers, spacious and luminous, all equipped with fireplace, overlooking the courtyard and include hot water and heating supplied by 48 solar panels, solid wooden beds of pine and olive or 1800 's brass, natural latex mattresses, towels and sheets of raw cotton, terra cotta sinks , olive oil soaps; every detail has been meticulously designed to let the energy circles and why in these environments will feel the taste of yesteryear.
Respecting the original structure and of our great traditions of rural construction, the farm has been restructured with mortars and natural materials, with total reuse of materials that already exist, ancient boards, bricks, fixtures of 1800 and other material as the earth itself red or yellow.
The beds are located north and sharp edges give way to round edges, because in nature everything is round, all is harmony and everything returns to the whole. Its forty smokestacks, its trulli scattered and its cave tell yourself the story of the people who lived, worked, rested in this magical place by the endless panorama.
A spacious library, promotes reading or relaxing while a veranda on a endless view lets you enjoy the morning breakfasts with Lama di Luna products: jams and pies, toasted bread and yogurt, cheese and fruit.
A series of itineraries in the morning allows you to see a little piece of Italy rich in villages (Trani, Andria, Minervino ...), Romanesque cathedrals, castles of Frederick II (Castel del Monte ...), ports and natural sites (High Murgia Park and Saline di Margherita di Savoia), history of all eras. For those who love nature, hiking and mountain biking, organic farming practices or lessons stories about rural life a time allow you to learn the essence of Lama di luna.
The evening sunsets and waterfalls of timeless stars accompany guests to their rooms as they were settlers, pay out of their day to Lama di Luna.
