Next to the evocative ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii, destroyed by the terrible eruption of 79 d.C., is the Tourist Restaurant. Equipped with a bar, large and welcoming lounges and a shady garden for a total of 350 seats, it offers excellent service together with excellent traditional cuisine seasoned with universal Mediterranean flavors. It is the ideal destination for tourist groups, congresses, receptions, business lunches and dinners but also for patrons who after enjoying a visit to the largest open-air monument in the world want to relax and eat excellent food. In the kitchen the enterprising Chef Raffaele, helped by his experienced and qualified staff, offers national and international cuisine, decorating the dishes with imagination and customizing them with references to traditional Greek cuisine, the place of origin of the owner. Particular attention is paid to raw materials, always fresh and of the highest quality, preferring products from the 0 km area. The restaurant also has a few meters of a very large parking for buses and cars. The Mediterranean cuisine, with the research and the wise use of local products and the love for cooking and for 0 km products, reinvents itself by proposing new forms of the evergreen dishes of Neapolitan cuisine, if possible even more delicious than their classic variations. And so the classic seafood paccheri can become fried paccheri, stuffed with mushrooms or fresh shrimp, a crunchy delight! The pizza is broken down and transformed into fried strips with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, a fresh appetizer! The frying foil composed of small rice sartù, pasta timbales, croquettes and vegetable meatballs goes alongside the classic 'cuoppo' of paranza, the street food of past generations! The novelties are welcome, but there is certainly no shortage of classic dishes: octopus luciana, escalopes, entrecote and our fresh blue fish are part of our culture and are prepared following the traditional recipes of the Neapolitan chefs. In addition to Italian cuisine, by reservation, we also have Greek cuisine, the homeland of the Palmieri family, managers of the Tourist Restaurant for 3 generations! Everything is accompanied by excellent Wines from Campania of the best labels.
