Marche Coast

Guide: Sea & Islands, Marche

Marche Coast – Marche: 180 km of beaches, seaside villages and landscapes suspended between the Adriatic and hills. The Marche Coast is a mosaic of different landscapes and atmospheres, which extends from Gabicce Mare on the border with Emilia-Romagna to San Benedetto del Tronto, gently lapping the waters of the Adriatic. Golden sandy beaches, rocky headlands, seaside villages and lively ports alternate in a succession of breathtaking scenery. 🏖️ Sea for every taste: From the equipped beaches of Pesaro, Senigallia and Civitanova Marche, perfect for families, to the wildest coves of the Conero such as Mezzavalle or Portonovo, the Marche coast satisfies every traveler. Clear waters, fine sand or gravel, shallow or deep waters: the sea here has a thousand faces. 👉 Tip: Reach the Due Sorelle Beach by boat from Numana or Sirolo to experience a corner of unspoiled paradise. 🌊 Villages and cities overlooking the sea: The coastline is dotted with authentic seaside villages such as Porto Recanati, Numana and Sirolo, but also by cities of art such as Ancona, with its historic port and the Cathedral of San Ciriaco overlooking the sea. Further south, Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto offer elegant seafronts, tropical gardens and lively atmospheres. 👉 Tip: Stroll at sunset along the promenade of San Benedetto to breathe in the relaxed elegance of the Riviera delle Palme. 🍽️ Taste of the sea and tradition: The coastal cuisine of the Marche region is rich and genuine: from the famous fish soup (different in each port!) to the olives all'ascolana, from the mussels of Portonovo to DOC wines such as Verdicchio or Pecorino. Flavours of the sea and the land meet in simple dishes but full of character. 👉 Tip: Stop at a restaurant by the sea and try the brodetto with a glass of chilled Passerina. 🚴 ♀️ Experiences between nature and sport: The Marche coast is also perfect for those who love movement: waterfront cycle paths, snorkeling, trekking in the Conero Park, boat trips, walks in the historic centers. Each trait has something to offer those who love to explore. 👉 Tip: Cycle along the coastal cycle path from Porto San Giorgio to Cupra Marittima for a car-free sea-view itinerary. The Marche Coast is a slow journey along the sea, between sincere flavors, welcoming villages and horizons that taste of freedom.
