The company was founded in the seventies, when as a boy, intrigued by the world of bees, I bought two swarms of bees from a beekeeper and began the journey towards the wonderful world of beekeeping. In a few years the hives became 50, then 100, up to the current 500.

The honey produced by Castel Belfort beekeeping comes from our hives located in the areas of particular value of the mountains and medium hills of Trentino as well as outside the province, in selected areas for the collection of honeys with a prevalence of monofloreal, located in pre-Alpine and pre-Apennine locations.

Particular care is taken in the choice of sites for apiaries favoring environments far from urban centers and from any possible source of pollution. At the foot of the evocative ruins of Castel Belfort, on the edge of the Adamello Brenta natural park, in the municipality of Spormaggiore (Val di Non) Trentino, there is the CasteI Belfort beekeeping, a family-run farm, which aims at a high quality product with characteristics of integrity, healthiness and naturalness.

Thanks to the practice of nomadism, it boasts of a production of numerous monofloral honeys such as Acacia, Linden, Chestnut, Alfalfa, Wood Honeydew, Sunflower, Orange, Eucalyptus, Rhododendron, Dandelion and Apple Tree, Strawberry Tree and Millefiori.
Guided tours of the honey extraction and packaging laboratories are made upon reservation; you can visit the hives located at the farm also for families and children, thus bringing everyone closer to the laborious world of bees.
